Another 100 bolts emptied buts there’s still lots of fabric left to choose from. Don’t put it off, it’s going quickly. Some of our demo machines have gone and people have taken the opportunity to pick up new machines cheaper than anywhere else.

Loretta & Cheryl are fresh back from the Janome release of the Memory Craft 12000. This is the long awaited upgrade from the MC11000 which has been around for many years. The new machine incorporates all of the 11000 embroidery technology into the Horizonbase machine. There is LOTS of space in the new design. Janome have also incorporated lots of new features too. We have our demo machine in-store and we have booked Isabella fromJanome to do a special demonstration day. Pfaff have surprised us with the release of three new machines! The top of the line “Creative Vision” is now joined by the higher spec “Creative Sensation” machine. Pfaff have finally filled a gap in their general sewing machine range with the “Ambition 1.5” and “Ambition 1.0” machines. Our Ex-Demo DC4030 has sold. If you are after a virtually brand new machine at a huge discount then don’t miss out. These are “One Off” specials. Once they’re gone, that’s it! We still have a New Horizon 7700QCP, a MC4900 and a MC6600P available. Ex-Demo machines come with full manufacturer’s warranty. Lots of our discounted fabrics has also gone. There is still some available. We are gradually going through and updating the fabrics pages to delete the fabrics which have gone.

Cheryl has just completed Pfaff training on the 5D Suite embroidery software so now she has all the knowledge to answer all your questions. The 5D software packages are very powerful and have a lot of advantages over the Digitiser packages. Come talk to Cheryl. We also have a Pfaff Coverlock 4.0 machine on the floor for you to try.

We had a very successful week at Stockland Shellharbour and we thank all those new (and old) customers that stopped in and said ‘hello’ to Cheryl. Congratulations too, to those lucky mums who find themselves with a nice new Janome or Pfaff machine.

Marti Michelle templates added. We just love using these templates. The most difficult blocks are easily cut out and sewn extremely accurately in no time at all! Never used them - ring the girls today to book into a class. Once you’ve been shown you’ll never go back to the old way. See here

Janome have just released a new convertible free-motion quilting foot set for all you quilters out there. I have been using the Closed & Open Toe set for a while now and am very happy. The new set includes a third ‘Clear View’ foot which is specifically designed for uneven quilt surfaces and evenly spaced quilting.

Check out our new Australiana range “Under the Australian Sun”. These are beautiful fabrics that look like Japanese prints except for the native flowers. The colours are rich and warm with lots of gold highlights.

It’s been a busy week for everyone in the store. Our inaugural Retreat weekend was a great success (although everyone is suffering from lack of sleep and over indulgence in the wonderful catering provided by Kiah Lodge. There were lots of laughs, conversation and getting to know one another along with informative teaching led by Cheryl and Isabel. I will post some pictures of the weekend soon. The last couple of weeks have seen some further renovations in the store which have increased the size (again). In coming weeks we will finish off all the paint touch-ups, improve the classroom lighting and finally get our new shop signage completed so that our new entity “Quilters Dreams & Sewing Machines” will be complete. I have been busily scanning new fabrics over the weekend and so you will see new fabric items appearing in the store catalogue.

Welcome to our brand new website. With the launch of our new business venture with new partners we say a final farewell to ‘The Quilters Garden’ and a big bright “Hello” to ‘Quilters Dreams & Sewing Machines”. For those used to our old website address, it will automatically bounce you to the new site. As you will see in our store section we have all the info on our huge range of machines, fabrics, BOM kits and pantographs. Our section on pre-cut fabrics (jellyrolls, etc..), patterns and tools & accessories are coming soon so check back regularly.
